On the offer
Built in magnificent scenery, on a wooded spur of rock in the Meuse Hills , the 12th-century Notre-Dame church in Mont-devant-Sassey is one of Lorraine's most beautiful religious buildings. Built of freestone from 1127 onwards, it contains some Romanesque and Gothic treasures. Its octagonal roofed porch dates from the 13th century and is the oldest one in North-Eastern France to have retained its original statues. The iconography is remarkable. The transept is short and the nave is built in a minimalist Gothic style..
