On the offer
Grave is the most besieged fortified town along the Maas. The fortified town centre is the most visible evidence of this time. The town has many monuments, including the great St. Elisabeth Church, the Hampoort Gate, the Maaspoort Gate, which was rebuilt in 1994, the streets with their unusual house gables and peep-holes, as well as impressive bastions as reminders of the town's rich history as a fortress. The Graafs Museum is located in the Hampoort Gate in Grave, allowing visitors a glimpse of the fascinating history of this fortress town.
